2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO

After a few teaser photos were released this week, the new 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO made its surprise debut today, at ZDAYZ, the annual gathering of Nissan, Datsun and NISMO fans in the US. Several styling updates, upgraded interior, new wheels and a new transmission are the most important news regarding the sports car whose sales are scheduled to start this summer, in July.

The first that pops out is the 370Z NISMO’s new exterior styling, which is inspired by the GT-R and features a new front fascia with LED Hyper Daytime Running Lights, black headlight bezels, new side sills painted in red and redesigned rear spoiler. The 19-inch NISMO forged aluminum-alloy wheels by RAYS have also been redesigned and now have a twin-five spoke design and are finished in charcoal gray. The 2015 370Z NISMO is available in four exterior colors, Magnetic Black, Pearl White, Brilliant Silver and Solid Red.

On the interior, the new 370Z NISMO has new Recaro sports seats covered in Alcantara leather with red stitching which were designed by the German company exclusively for this model. The steering wheel is also wrapped in Alcantara leather, the instrument cluster includes a red tachometer and new features are available, such as the Nissan Navigation System with hard-drive and a 7-inch touchscreen display, a high-end Bose sound system, RearView Monitor, auto-dimming rearview mirror, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and Streaming Audio via Bluetooth.

The Japanese sports car is powered by the same 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 350-hp and 276 lb-ft of torque, 18-hp more than the standard 370Z Coupe. However, for the first time on a Z model, NISMO offers two transmission choices: the current six-speed manual unit with SynchroRev Match (a system that allows heel-toe-like downshifting) and a new seven-speed automatic transmission with Downshift Rev Matching and Adaptive Shift Control.
