Audi RS7 Sportback Facelift

Following the facelift that was applied to the Audi A7, the high-performance version of the four-door coupe also get updated. The Audi RS7 facelift features a new front grille, restyled headlights and three sets of ornaments are available in three different colors: matte aluminum, glossy black and carbon. The headlights are now available with the new Matrix LED technology and they are blackened exclusively on the RS7. On the interior, the new high-performance sedan features new paddle shifters, air vents with a new design and the “quattro” badge on the dashboard. Also, the MMI navigation plus multimedia system that is available as standard now features a MMI touch interface and a new Nvidia graphics card.

Under the bonnet, power comes from the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 TFSI engine that produces 560-hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. This translates into a 0 to 62 mph acceleration in 3.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Two optional dynamic packages are also available, increasing the limited top speed up to 174 mph (280 km/h) and 189.5 mph (305 km/h) respectively. According to the European fuel consumption testing cycle, the new Audi RS7 “eats up” 9.5 liters per 100 km (24.8 US mpg) and produces 221 grams of CO2 per kilometer (355 grams per mile). The values are possible thanks to Audi’s Cylinder on Demand system that disables up to four cylinders when they are not required, in order to save fuel. Of course, as you’d expect in such a high-end product like the RS7, this process of disabling cylinders is imperceptible and doesn’t influence in any way the driver or the passengers’ comfort.

The new model is available as standard with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission combined with Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system. As an option, the German carmaker also offers a rear differential for those looking for even an even more thrilling ride. The car also comes with 20-inch forged alloy-wheels as standard, with a set of optional 21-inch wheels available in three colors. Also as standard, the RS7 is equipped with ventilated brake disks that feature a special design and are extremely lightweight, but a set of carbon-ceramic are also available as an option, for maximum performance. Other standard features include the RS adaptive air suspension, while the options list includes features such as RS Sport suspension with dynamic control and the dynamic sports steering with variable steering ratio.
