Ford Mustang Space Video

This year, the Ford Mustang celebrates its 50 year anniversary and the brand’s agents celebrate this milestone in different ways. For example, here’s a nice stunt pulled by Michael Sego, Ford’s sales manager for the San Francisco area and Steve Kubitz, managing partner of Big Valley Ford in Stockton, California. The two zonal representatives decided it was time for the Mustang to become the first car to go in space, but as you can imagine, there’s a catch. Because they didn’t strap a full sized Mustang to a rocket and blasted it into the sky. Instead, what they did was take an official model car built by Revell and attach it to a weather balloon.

“We wanted to celebrate 50 years of Mustang and the impending arrival of the all-new 2015 Mustang by doing something really special. Mustang has always been about getting behind the wheel and hitting the open road, but we decided to take to the open sky,” said Sego.
