Next month, the Tour de France starts and Skoda UK wants to mark this event by unveiling three special editions dedicated to the most famous cycling competition in the world. This way Czech carmaker also celebrates their 10-year partnership with Tour de France and the fact that the first three stages of this year’s edition will take place in Britain: Leeds-Harrogate (July 5), York-Sheffield (July 6) and Cambridge-London (July 7).

As for the “Tour de France” special editions, only 198 units will be built (the number of cyclists entering this year’s Tour de France) and cars will only be available in white, blue or red (the colors on both France and UK’s national flags). Besides the additional features, buyers will also be getting a free special Centenary edition of the Rouleur Tour de France book (priced at £250) and will get a chance to win a Tour de France VIP experience package.

The Skoda Yeti “Tour de France” is based on the four-wheel drive Yeti Outdoor SE version powered by the 138-hp 2.0-liter diesel engine. Besides the usual options, the special edition package includes an internal bike rack, keyless start and go and an Amundsen satellite navigation system. The Skoda Octavia “Tour de France” is based on the Octavia Estate SE powered by the 148-hp 2.0-liter diesel and gets the same equipment as the Yeti, except for the internal bike rack which was replaced by a roof-mounted one. And the third model, the Skoda Superb “Tour de France”, the special edition is based on the Estate Outdoor version that is available with the same engine as the Yeti, the 138-hp 2.0-liter diesel, and four-wheel drive, with the specs also being identical to the Yeti’s.

The “Tour de France” special editions are already on sale, with pricing details also being released by Skoda UK: the Yeti is £23,490, the Octavia is £24,290, while the Superb is £28,490.
