Back in January, the Japanese carmaker unveiled the Toyota Furia concept at the Detroit Motor Show, an exciting concept whose purpose was to give us an idea of what to expect from the next generation Corolla. Toyota’s best-seller, responsible for the largest sales in the past decade, is getting ready to leave the stage and make room for the new generation, which is scheduled to debut on June 6. We are a little surprised that Toyota decided to unveil the next-gen Corolla in California and not in Japan, but when you think about it, makes sense, since the United States is one of the biggest markets for the Corolla.

And to get the excitement up a little, the Japanese carmaker has just published a photo on their official Facebook account, teasing the new Corolla. In the picture we can see a part of a taillight (looks great) and an “S” badge. Next to the photos, Toyota also added: “Prepare to meet the NEW 2014 Corolla. Get excited for June 6, really excited…”

With the new generation Corolla, Toyota promises to bring a more exciting design (one of the main complaints the current model received), more aggressive and similar to what we can see on the Auris. As for sales, the Corolla will first be launched in the United States and Canada, with European debut scheduled after.
