Fiat USA has just released a really funny commercial for the Fiat 500L. The spot, which is called “Mirage”, features famous rapper P. Diddy and promotes the carmaker’s small MPV trying to highlight the car’s size. Even though the “L” stands for Large/Lounge, people are probably still skeptical about how big a Fiat that wears the 500 badge can be.
The Fiat 500L debuted in the United States at the 2012 LA Auto Show and went on sale last spring, being available in four trim levels: Pop, Easy, Trekking and Lounge, with prices starting at $19,195 for the Pop version. The small MPV is only available with a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 160 hp, nlike other markets where several other engine choices are available. Also, the United States is the only market where an automatic transmission is available, alongside the traditional manual.
Several other 500L variants are in development, such as the seven-seat 500L Living and the 500X crossover, which will replace the Fiat Sedici starting with next year.
